Cupping
Decompression therapy for stuck tissue, lymph flow, and circulation — applied with assessment and intent.
Cupping here isn't applied for visual effect or as a one-off treatment. It's a decompression tool used in service of clearing restrictions that other tissue work can't reach. Done right, it integrates with sports massage, IASTM, and mobility programming as part of a session — not in isolation.
Most cupping bookings target specific patterns: lifters with chronic mid-back tightness, runners with calf or IT band restriction, surfers with locked-up lats and thoracic spine, post-event athletes managing soft-tissue inflammation.
The marks left by cupping are a side effect, not the goal. They typically fade within 3–7 days. We focus on what the cupping is trying to accomplish — better tissue glide, improved circulation, decompressed fascia — not on producing photographable marks.
Cupping sessions can stand alone but typically run 30 minutes paired with another modality (sports massage or IASTM) in a 60-minute session. We'll build the right combination after the assessment.
The process.
Assess
Identify which tissues are bound — back, hips, shoulders, fascia restrictions on the legs.
Apply
Cup placement is targeted, not blanket — we work specific patterns identified in the assessment.
Integrate
Cupping is paired with movement and tissue work in the same session for layered effect.
01Is cupping safe?
Yes, when applied by a licensed therapist with assessment. We don't use cupping on certain skin conditions, recent injuries, or anti-coagulant medications — the intake form covers the contraindications.
02How long do the marks last?
Typically 3–7 days. Heavier marks indicate more restricted tissue — the marks are not the goal, they're a byproduct.
03Can cupping be combined with massage in one session?
Yes — most cupping sessions are paired with sports massage or IASTM for layered work. We'll structure the session based on your goals.
